I almost forgot- today is GBBD day! This is my second time joining in on the fun, but unfortunately the Snapdragon and Ageratum that I grew purposely to have early color in the greenhouse, has decided not to bloom yet. Well, actually, because I sowed them late Sept. ‘08, I’m really not expecting anything until late Feb./early March...but I was hopeful anyway!
What I do have are some...you guessed it, Pansy. Different colors this time. My Hyacinth is long gone, and missed both GBBD days. I didn’t start anything in the house this year either.
Here you go.
I did include a couple Snapdragon and Ageratum in this shot- I thought being so near the beautiful pansy blooming their little heads off, it might encourage them to do the same, and soon. I thought I heard them whispering amongst themselves as I was leaving, so I think it worked. I know! I’m terrible using embarrassment and guilt like that! I hope they’ll forgive me ;)

Happy Gardening!

Your tactics would be applauded by my Mother. ;) The pansies are sweet. Happy GBBD.
This was my second time too. :) Fun! Your pansies are super cute. I'm jealous, no greenhouse so very little in the way of color here yet (Seattle). Happy Bloom Day! Next month will be super fabulous, I'm sure.
Your pansies are so pretty, and you grew them all from seed which is even better! The colors all look so pretty together!
Just think how much you'll have blooming by March 15th!
Lisa- Well, I felt bad, so I moved them back to their usual spot! Happy Gardening!
Karen- Nice to meet another NWer! Yes, I am hoping that next month will be much better for blooms!
Hey Catherine- Thanks! Hope you've had some mild weather lately- it's been nice here off and on. We've had no where near the rain we usually get!
Thanks everyone for stopping by!
The gray background really brings out the colors of the pansy. Pretty.
I so love pansies. I should have bought seed for them this year, but totally spaced it out. I guess if I want any I'll have to head down to the garden center.
Grace- Gray skies are a common thing here! Although, we have had a lot more sun this winter than we usually experience :)
Daphne- Well, you have mid summer to start them for fall. If all else fails off to the garden center! I love pansy because you can get early or sometimes year round color. They are a pain to start though!
I hope the others catch on and start blooming like your pretty pansies.
Love the pansies, and I hope the others get the idea it is time to bloom! Thanks for joining in for bloom day again.
I think you should be proud to have something blooming outside (even if it's in the greenhouse) and doubly so because you grew them!! I can't say the same. Next month will be great, those snapdragons and ageratums are going to get in gear after that big time guilt trip! ;-) Happy belated bloom day Tessa!
How cool that you grew the pansies from seed!!! And your pansies are in such pretty colors. You can't go wrong on bloom day with those! Good luck w/your seed growing. I just planted some today. I'll get around to doing a post on it soon...
Wow, you have a wonderful greenhouse. I would love to have one, but they seem so expensive, thus I have stuck to the window sill! Love the pansies!
Pansies do have such a sweet disposition. I'm sure they can talk your other flowers into blooming soon!
Thanks everyone for stopping by! I'm glad you enjoy the pansies!
